This section helps yout to migrate GCM apps to Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), which inherits the reliable and scalable GCM infrastructure, plus many new features.
As of April 10, 2018, Google has deprecated GCM. The GCM server and client APIs are deprecated and will be removed as soon as May 29, 2019. Keeping the same in mind, Informvisitors has updated all the clients from the old GCM to new FCM. Inorder to make this migration complete our users are required to make certain changes in their applications.
Update Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) credentials like Server Key, Sender ID, and Vapid Key on Informvisitors panel. Update the existing manifest.json file in their root folder Note: For further information regarding the GCM deprecation and migration to FCM users can go through the following link GCM and FCM Migration FAQs. Note: We strongly recommend that all our HTTPS users update the Script Tags, Service worker file and manifest.json related to Informvisitors. Incase of HTTP users just update the Script Tags. Doing so will give a fresh start which comes with many additional features.
